Pikolo Espresso Bar is the vision of Marie-Eve Laroche, who on discovering the coffee culture of Australia saw an opportunity to enrich the Montreal landscape. Working with Canadian roasters Monogram, 49th Parallel and Rabbit Hole, the drinks at Pikolo are crafted with the goal always to showcase the intrinsic character of individual coffees and served with casual familiarity. Paired with locally homemade pastries from Hof Kelsten and Cafe Myriade, the cafe offers everything needed for a quick stop on the way to work or a catch-up with an old friend.

Comme son nom le laisse présager, l’endroit est petit. Mais il est agréable de s’y arrêter ou juste d’y passer prendre un café à emporter. Le matin, les machines s’activent et la bonne odeur du grain noir se répand à l’intérieur du Pikolo...voir.ca

Le «projet café», c'était le titre de travail de ce reportage. C'est ainsi que nous avons abordé notre journaliste gourmande, Ève Dumas, amatrice de bon café jusqu'à en être un peu intolérante aux autres. Elle a parcouru le réseau de la STM huit semaines durant et a bu une centaine de cafés...
